Founded in 2009 by Mark and Gill, with over 20 years of experience in dealing with a wide range of antique, modern and contemporary stoves, we have carefully brought this knowledge to bear in the design of our small cast iron multi-fuel stoves. The aim is to provide each customer with a high quality stove that will give them years of long, trouble-free service, and every stove is hand-finished, fettled and inspected at our Devon workshop. At Salamander Stoves, we recognised the need for a cast iron stove with a smaller footprint, and the demand for a small stove which offered the same benefits as a large, efficient wood burner. Our flagship stove The Hobbit achieves this, presenting itself as a high quality, compact, yet affordable stove. After the success of The Hobbit multi-fuel stove came the larger Little Range Cookstove, which offers the same benefits as the classic Hobbit Stove combined with a substantially increased cooking potential including a stainless steel cooktop and good-sized oven. Due to the continual growth of the small space movement, our little cast iron stoves have been extremely popular within small spaces resulting in thousands being installed into shepherds huts, cabins, tiny homes, bell tents and many more!
