About Peacock Lake Glamping
Set back from the main road at the end of a peaceful close in the pretty village of Gunthorpe, this site is part of a well-established fishery that has been popular with local anglers for more than three decades. The lake was formed when gravel was dug to build Gunthorpe Bridge in the village, and today it’s a popular 25-peg property with several varieties of coarse fish, including carp. All of this is free to enjoy for glamping guests.
Away from base, you can take a stroll down to the village’s handful of pubs in just a few minutes, or alternatively drive a couple of miles north to Lowdham, where there are food shops and more eateries.

Accommodation
The smart ensuite accommodation on offer here is equally enticing, with a comfy double bed, well-equipped kitchen, TV, bedding and towels all coming as standard. Moving outside, there’s a spacious decking area with seating where you can soak up the peaceful atmosphere, and – arguably best of all – you have access to a private luxury hot tub just for the two of you.
